Part strategist, part evangelist, Laura never tires of celebrating the continued impact of her search partners. As co-founder, Laura has placed CEOs and EDs in foundations and place-based groups across the US. A first-gen college graduate, Laura's story was shaped by her Italian immigrant grandparents on one side, and generations of farmers in rural North Carolina on the other. Her great joy is creating pathways to opportunity for all.

Evan Lovelace

Co-founder and Managing Director

Evan is our Managing Director. He leads onboarding strategy, culture imagining, and is an executive coach. Prior to co-founding Intentional Works, Evan led operations for Amazon where he designed strategies to support large teams. Evan has a Masters in Learning, Leadership and Organization Development from the University of Georgia and a Bachelors from Point University. Evan is also an avid runner and is a race director for several 5ks and half marathons in Georgia.

Shavon Bell

Shavon is an expert researcher and recruiter who specializes in identifying executive leadership for mission-driven organizations across the country. Shavon has partnered with a range of clients in placing top talent, including the ACLU of Northern California, New York University and Southern Poverty Law Center. Before forming Shavon Bell Consulting, Shavon spent 5 years in executive search with Koya Leadership Partners. Prior to joining Koya, Shavon served as Recruiter at Berklee College of Music where she built the full-cycle recruiting function and improved diversity hiring by 25%. Shavon’s professional experience also includes creating and facilitating trainings for senior leaders on hiring best practices with a focus on diversity and inclusion, and coaching candidates on career strategies. A Boston native, Shavon holds a dual B.A. in Anthropology and Africana Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Edie Blakeslee

Edie Blakeslee is a seasoned philanthropic leader with a history of developing relationships and partnerships, deploying strategic philanthropy, and championing a more just community. An adept and pragmatic change manager who crafts a shared path to measurable impact that center values, people, and mission, Edie is also a mentor who supports and cultivates a team to grow, stretch, and discover the many joys in working with community. Edie has deep experience in the community foundation realm, having led grantmaking and leadership for 11 years as VP of Grantmaking and Community Leadership for Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina. Edie is a proud southern transplant by way of New York, and believes that progress depends on trust.
